Our cultures draw from a rich design language. Always emerged from the merging of different cultures. The patterned cotton towels from 3rd Culture take up this idea and combine motifs from different cultures.
This pattern was created from the Mmere Dane symbol and the Chintemani motif. Mmere Dane is the Adinkra symbol of change and symbolizes the dynamic nature of life. Adinkra symbols originated in West Africa and have been used in the fine arts of Africa since the 12th century. Chintemani represents strength and courage in Turkish decorative arts. It has its roots in Asia, where it symbolizes the three virtues of the Buddha.
They are available in 2 different sizes. Here the smaller one with dimensions of 90x180cm
With this idea behind it, the patterns and colors could not go better with Nauli. We are pleased to be able to offer them to you in our concept store and also in the online shop.
