Areaware's "Greenway" set contains 15 wooden building blocks inspired by the architecture and public spaces of New York City.
Art meets science in these sets of interlocking, hand-painted blocks. James Paulius' intention was to create a timeless toy - for the American design brand Areaware - that would challenge the user's creativity and understanding of the laws of physics.
Blockitecture has already been awarded the "RIT Metaproject 03 design competition" prize.
